My (James) stroller had been acting up for the past week or so (the front wheel in particular was very unreliable), and I felt that it would be a good idea to get a new one while we were still in a town. The closest Walmart was 20 miles away in Show Low, so I started calling around to try and find a cab service. Eventually, I found one and scheduled a ride for that morning. I walked into town and waited at The Perkatory (the local coffee shop) for the cab to arrive. It was around 45 degrees and sunny in Snowflake when I got in the cab. Amazingly, after driving 20 miles to Show Low, I found myself in the middle of a snowstorm. There were a lot of cars waiting in the pickup area, but I managed to cut the virtual line by going right up to the pickup area and talking to one of the guys bringing out packages. I headed back in the cab with my new stroller and we drove back to Snowflake. As we went, the snow went away and Snowflake was just as sunny as when we had left it. When I got back to the park, I found that my tent was capsized (it had been blown over by the wind without my weight to anchor it) and one of my poles had broken. While I was assembling my stroller, the sunny conditions gave way to an intense round of snow out of nowhere. This lasted for about 5 minutes only. It was overall a strange day of weather. Sam had picked up a migraine, so we ended up staying in an inn in town that night. There was also a chance it was going to snow that night, so it was nice to avoid the bad weather. We each went to separate restaurants in town before heading back to the inn for a relaxing night.
