After another late night, I (James) was again exhausted in the morning. I made sure to put my solar charger outside my tent and take advantage of the sunlight before going back to sleep. I also heard a few military jets flying around the area and looked out of my tent to see one doing a barrel roll over a mountain. By 2pm, I had finally packed up my tent and was ready to start walking. Sam was still in his tent. I walked a few miles before using a porta potty convenient placed next to the road. I was also able to use the soap dispenser to refill my bottle of hand sanitizer. While the road was still not paved, thankfully it was much better than yesterday. A few hours later, it was time to tune into Thursday Night Football. Unfortunately my reception soon became bad, and I did not get to watch much of the game. Sam’s father, Kourous, would be walking with us for tonight and most of tomorrow, so I stopped a little after 8pm at the coordinates that his driver would be dropping him off at. Sam showed up about an hour later, and went off to find his dad shortly after. At around 10pm, the 3 of us started walking. Unfortunately, the road soon became horrible. There were many hills, and the road was filled with rocks. Kourous, who was carrying a pack instead of pushing a stroller, was walking quickly in front. Sam and I struggled to keep up as we pushed and pulled the strollers through the treacherous conditions. Around 2am, shortly after Sam had fallen down and picked up a flat tire, we had both had enough. We went up one last massive hill before finding a spot off the road to pitch our tents.
