For the second day in a row, we set out at different times. I (James) headed out at 8:40, while Sam left about an hour after that. After pushing through a massive uphill stretch, I stopped at a Sheetz 12 miles in. While I took my boots off and relaxed, I chuckled to myself as I imagined Sam a few miles back trudging up the hill. At the Sheetz, a man mentioned that he had seen a woman pushing a stroller on the side of the road a few miles back - that must have been Sam. We both stopped at another Sheetz another 8 miles down the road. I arrived at a third Sheetz at 8pm, and Sam got there about 40 miles down the road. Apparently, the cops received numerous calls about men pushing babies in strollers on the shoulder of the highway. Walking separately made us much more efficient, as we did not have to wait for one another to go to the bathroom through the day. This actually takes up quite a bit of time with how much food we consume each day. In desperate search of a place to sleep, we pitched our tents on a patch of grass right by the highway. It turned out to be quite a comfy spot. We walked 28 miles in total.
