Day 23-27: 5 days staying with Fionn and seeing James’ dad in Pittsburgh

It was a short 10 mile day to get to Pittsburgh, where we stayed with our dear friend Fionn and his friend Kalan. We ended up spending 5 nights there and immersed ourselves in the Pittsburgh lifestyle. Fionn took us to some of his favorite spots such as Kelly O’s Diner and Mineo’s Pizza. It was interesting going from a lifestyle of being outside all day to spending much of our time indoors. The break was still much needed, and our feet had time to heal up. James’ father, Alex, also joined us for a few days and took us out to a very nice dinner to celebrate James’ birthday. On Tuesday, we joined Fionn at his hurling practice before I (Sam) spent most of Wednesday walking around Pittsburgh while James lazily stayed home watching television all day. We also watched some classic films including Whiplash, Heat, and PIG.
