Today we spent a total of 17 hours on the road, likely our most yet. We started our day off with a nice country breakfast at a diner right up the street from where we slept. Our next stop was a Rite Aid, where we sat in the pharmacy for upwards of 2 hours. It was clear that the previous increased mileage was taking its toll today. We trudged along, eventually stopping at a laundromat with 3 miles left to go. This was where a typical day turned into a mess. After leaving the laundromat, we got caught in a big storm with pouring rain. We were soaking wet by the time we found refuge under the roof of a gas station. We waited out the storm for about an hour, then continued for 3 miles to the church we eventually slept at.
