We had a sluggish start to the morning, and I (James) ended up watching a 70-minute episode of Stranger Things in my tent before getting ready. As we were setting up our strollers, our stuff kept getting swarmed by bees. Finally, at 11am, we began walking. We stopped at a gas station about 6 miles in. We both really needed to use the bathroom, so we were thrilled to find that all the bathrooms in the gas station were out of order! After a short break, I found a convenient Porta-potty on the side of the road. Sam opted to hold it in instead and starting walking. However, Sam took a wrong turn for a few minutes, and the lead flipped back to me. I was about 10-20 minutes ahead until we both stopped at a Walmart (where I bought some new insoles and Sam bought new Dude Wipes) and then took a long rest at a Taco Bell. At Taco Bell, we met a nice couple named Rebecca and Josh, as well as their two daughters. They took an interest in our journey, and the girls started laughing when they found a creepy video of Sam laughing in the dark on the blog. We walked another 5 miles to Family Worship Church, arriving around 11:30pm and hitting 26 miles on the day.
