We got going around 9:30am, but stopped 2 miles in at a gas station to use the restroom and get some food. I had the Cheesy Burger Macaroni flavor of Chef Boyardee for breakfast. I (James) will not be eating it again. Outside the gas station, a couple named Josh and Trish stopped us to ask about our trip. They were very excited about our journey and emphasized the freedom that we had. We stopped again at a Burger King another 8 miles down the road for an hour. We had a slow start to the day, and decided to walk 17 miles straight to avoid night walking. It rained pretty hard for about 20 minutes at one point, but it was still sunny out and the rain felt nice. At around 8:15pm we arrived at a truck stop and enjoyed some Payday bars for dinner. We walked 27 miles on the day.
