I (Sam) woke up at around 7am to some weird voices right outside of my tent. Honestly I was too tired to care. About an hour later I arose from my slumber and began taking down camp. Walking out of the town was nice but uneventful. We were going to stop at an Arby’s to fill up our water but unfortunately it was closed so we went to Dollar General instead. About 13 miles in we stopped under a nice shady tree and slept for about an hour and a half. I woke up with a headache, something I have been dealing with nearly every day for the past 2 weeks. It is like clockwork. Every day at 3pm I get a headache. We continued on our way, eventually stopping at a McDonalds in the town of Bristow, OK. I had a couple of McChickens but was also interested in a Mexican restaurant down the road called Los Arcos. I went alone and had some delicious Fajitas. During my meal, James called me and told me he had a flat tire so I momentarily exited the restaurant to hand over the patch kit and pump. This was James’ first flat and there could sometimes be a steep learning curve. I left the restaurant about an hour later finding James struggling with the bike tire. He eventually figured it out which he revealed to be very satisfying. We were planning on heading over to a church afterwards, but found some storage unit sheds for sale on the side of the road which were open. We peaked in a nice one and ended up spending the night in there. It’s always a luxury spending the night in one of those!
